The 50 finalists for the Ken Hubbs award were introduced at an Inland Empire 66ers game, plus one of the finalists Branden Becker is having a terrific season for the Cajon baseball team, Yucaipa battled Redlands East Valley on the baseball diamond, plus video from the Southern California Interscholastic Football Coaches Association (SCIFCA) awards banquet.
Redlands track and field star Margaux Jones and Big Bear distance runner Caleb Webb won the Ken Hubbs Awards. San Gorgonio High School graduate and UCLA football player Nate Meadors was a finalist. Plus, Zoe Casas and the Aquinas softball team picked up a big win against Woodcrest Christian.
Cajon girls basketball star Kayla Washington and San Bernardino football, wrestling, and track standout Alex Mattison are the 2016 Ken Hubbs overall award winners.
